In September there were 6733 fewer foreign workers contributing to the Social Security System .This brought the toatal to 1,909,595 people .This figure is a drop of 8.6% in comparison with the same period last year.This trend of the falling numbers of immigrant workers is nothing new.
Romanians now are the most numerous of foreign workers with 277,151 ,followed by Moroccans with 227,946,Ecuadorians with 198,000,Colombians with 126,000 and Peruvians with 77,000.The foreigners represent just over 10% of all employees registered with the Social Security.
Spanish mobile phones are running out of the numbers beginning with 6.They have created more than 100 million such numbers and now they are having to set up a whole new range beginning with 7.As additional mobile phone services are being offered there is going to be a great demand for the new numbers.
Confidence in business in Spain has dropped by 2.5 points in October.This figure has come from the Indicator of Business Confidence and it now stands at a negative level of 21.5 .There had been an improvement in confidence in July .This lack of confidence is thought to be because of the lack of consumption which is adversely affecting business turn-over.
