Some residents who live on the Orihuela Costa on various urbanisations had the opportunity last week to put their point of view to the Secretary General of the Valencia branch of the PSOE Party.He heard how they have no electricity or water plus a lack of sewage infrastructure.One urbanisation is about to start its 35th week without electricity.What electricity they do manage to have is from a private generator and now a neighbouring urbanisation is denouncing them for noise pollution.The lack of electricity has meant no hot water ,refrigeration or washing machines.The generators are so expensive to run that they cannot afford to run them all of the time.
Many say that they feel that they have been forgotten by the town hall .One urbanisation,which has been described as in the “middle of nowhere”,has no public transport ,roads are not finished and the developer says that there is no money to complete them.Many homes have no habitacion certificates and it is impossible for people to sell their properties.They say that they feel totally abandoned by the PP party of Orihuela.
Throughout the meeting the PSOE Secretary General took notes and after the meeting he vowed that he would try to help them.
