The Spanish people have a life expectancy of 80.5 years and according to research done at Rotterdam’s Erasmus University they enjoy 58.8 years of happiness in their lives.This ranks them 16th out of 148 countries.The happiest are the Costa Ricans with an average of 66.7 years and the most unhappy are the Zimbabweans with 12.5 years.It would be interesting to know just how these researchers did their research and what criteria they used.
When a Barcelona woman was travelling on a bus in the city she was told by a fellow passenger to check out her health.The passenger was a doctor and suspected that the woman had a tumour.The woman followed up the advice and was diagnosed as having a cancerous tumour of the pituitary from which she is now recovering.
The River Ebro is the most important river in Spain and in a recent analysis of its water there has been discovered large quantities of cocaine.It has revealed that Spain is one of the biggest users of cocaine in Europe.The drug remains in the water after urine passes through sewage treatment plants.Scientists have found that a ton of cocaine,heroin ,amphetamines and ecstacy reached the Ebro last year.
