Remembrance Sunday was celebrated across the Costa Blanca last week.Many expat groups had organised special solemn meetings in bars across the coast.It was celebrated in Mil Palmeras urbanisation on the Orihuela Costa .The Orihuela Mayor Monica Lorente and other councillors paid their respects alongside the expats.The people attending gave thanks to and remembered all of those who have given their lives for the freedom of others during two world wars.Nowadays we have to remember those who have given their lives to protect people rom a different type of war,called terrorism.
In Torrevieja the Mayor there has presented the police with nine new vehicles .The vehicles have cost over 300,000 euros .This means that the objective of replacing all of the vehicles in the fleet is just one step closer.At the ceremony to make this possible were several councillors plus the Local Police boss Javier Minguez.
