A Valencia man who has been accused of having murdered his wife by faking an accident on the AP-7 in Favera in order to claim five insurance policies,is beginning to see flaws appear in his version of events through witness statements.
The insurance money would have amounted to a million euros and now the insurance agent with whom the woman took out the insurance policies is going back on his previous statements in which he claimsnever to have seen the woman by saying that she paid 2,500 euros for four policies despite the fact that she had no fixed income.
The two firemen who put out the fire which engulfed the car in which the woman was allegedly trapped have testified that the woman was in a sitting position in the car with her back against the upright car seat. However the accused had said that he had put the seat down to attempt to get his wife out of the car.The firemen have also said that they found no difficulty in opening the doors and that the car was in fact one metre down the embankment and not five metres as was said by the accused. The case continues.
