Spanish wine is a worldwide best seller in bulk sales,measured by volume,according to recent figures.The Spanish Wine Market Observatory has said that 130 million litres of unbottled wine which is worth 297 million euros has been sold so far this year.Last year bulk wine sales accounted for 55% of Spain’s wine exports and about 20% of the value of all exports.
Three women died and 20 others were injured when a small bus left the road and overturned last week.The accident happened 100 kilometres south of Gijon on the AP-66 which was reported to be wet after recent heavy rain.The people in the vehicle were returning to Madrid after spending the weekend in Asturias.
Iberia airlines cabin crew staged a two day strike last week over their pay and conditions of work.There were dozens of flights cancelled and delayed.The employers say that the unions had madenew demands ,however the unions deny this.Iberia have losses of over 100 million euros and have announced cost cutting measures for the company which couldmean that staff lose their jobs.
