Last week it was the Valencia Tennis 500 and Andy Murray became the first tennis champion of the matches staged in the Agora in the City of Arts and Sciences.He defeated his opponant Mikhail Youzhny 6-3, 6-2 in just over an hour
The tournament began on October 31 and since then 175,000 people have visited the City of arts and sciences.This tournament is one which is open to everyone,not just tennis fans.People came to enjoy all of the other facilities too.There were also many promotional things involving the tennis stars including autograph signings.Media from all over the world were there too,some 400 journalists attended.The games which took place in the agora building were broadcast to 30 different countries.
it is hoped to stage this event again next year and that people enjoyed this one so much that they will want to return again to Valencia in 2010.
