“Knight and Day” is the new film which will be made in Seville in Andalucia by Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise.They are on their way to Seville to start making the movie.The fact that this is happening is going to give the city a massive boost both financially and from a publicity stand point.
There are already 10,000 hotel nights booked in the city which will give the local economy a huge boost.Restaurants,bars,shops and other businesses will all feel the effects of the influx of not only the stars but all of the other people who make up a film crew.
The exposure of the city once the film is released will also ensure that the tourist industry will benefit into the future.Some of the streets in Seville will have to be closed during the filming and all businesses in these streets will be compensated for the loss of business according to their square meterage.For a 300m2 shop this could work out at 2,500 euros a day.
Diaz and Cruise should have arrived in the city by now but bad weather where they are filming at the moment has delayed them .The filming in Spain involves about 20 days and some of it will alsobe done in Cadiz.
