The famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin is in the city of Valencia.At least seven of his sculptures are in the centre of the city.The famous sculpture called “The Thinker”has been included in the exhibition which has brought “art” to the people in the streets.
The exhibition was opened last week by the Valencia Councillor for Cultural Action,the Secretary General for La Caixa Foundation,the General Delegate for La Caixa in Valencia and Castellon and the curator of the exhibition.It will be in the city until December 13.It has been installed in the Town Hall square.
“The Thinker ” is the only piece to be elevated and the other six pieces make up an ensemble called the “Bhurgers of Calais ” which are best viewed at ground level,where their misery and sacrifice are better seen.
