Denia has a new hospital which is managed by the private company,Marina Salud.The area around the A and E is large and one can imagine that if there was a large emergency with many ambulances then it would more than likely cope.
However the area around the main entrance to the hospital is a very different story.Here patients who have been in hospital for treatment are either dropped off or picked up by ambulances or relatives .There are “no parking” yellow lines everywhere which are ignored by everyone.Consequently ,at times,it is a nightmare scenario with cars jam packed one behind the other as the parked cars take up all of the room.Ambulances and often large delivery vehicles add to the confusion and the very frayed tempers of the motorists and patients.
There is plenty of space in the area and surely some system could be worked out to ensure easy movement of vehicles.The first thing to do would be to fine those who park in an obviously important ” no parking” area.This alone would help to alleviate the problems.
