Many people have been living on urbanisations on the Orihuela costa and their houses have not been issued with habitation certificates.Consequently they have been without the basic utilities of life.Now the town hall is going to fast track the issuing of these certificates.Literally thousands of residents have been waiting for years for these certificates.As well as not having the basic utilities they are not able to sell their properties either.
The town hall has announced that they will issue over 1500 with another 800 in the pipeline.All of the procedures will be carried out in Orihuela Costa town hall instead of ferrying the paperwork back and fore between them and Orihuela City.Why couldn’t they have thought of that before,one asks.The certificates will only be issued if the house and the urbanisation have been finished.However these residents are still expected to pay their taxes ,even though through no fault of theirs they have no amenities of any type.
Builders are at the bottom of the scandal.They have not completed urbanisations as they should.They have been permitted to build where they ought not to have built and town halls have done nothing about it all .It is about time that something happened to alleviate the suffering.
