It makes so much sense to have a Costa Blanca train line to utilise every type of train from Alicante to Gandia.The link between Alicante airport and Benidorm would make an enormous diference to commuters and visitors alike.What with El Altet airport increasing in size then getting all of those visitors out of the airport to their destinations as rapidly as possible must be a top priority.The road system will not be enough.
Then there is the major anomoly of not being able to travel to Valencia directly.The line ends in Denia and all sorts of connections have to be made with Gandia before people can access Valencia,this is such a pain and surely limits the number of visitors to the city.
Now the regional public works councillor has called upon central government to do something about it and make these rail links a top priority.When one considers what this part of the country contributes to the economy then they must have already paid for it many times over.
There seems to be investment in road widening and general infrastructure but it is this rail link which should really be considered seriously.At the moment it is the widening of the N-332 which by-passes Benidorm which is a major project.
