Jane Goodall is a world famous name through her work over many decades ,with apes. She is the leading British authority on Primates.Last week she visited Villena in Alicante Province to open the new Primodomus Ape Centre.
The centre is run by a Dutch organisation(AAP) along with the Jane Goodall Foundation.Jane Goodall and the AAP president gave their congratulations to all of those who had been involved in the setting up of the centre ,which will be focusing on conservation and behavioural studies. The centre is situated just outside the town centre in the Rincon del Moro.
Jane Goodall became a member of a group of apes in Tanzania at the age of 23 and she quite rightly says that the way in which we treat these creatures reflects the way in which we treat humans. That philosophy can be extended to all animals. The way in which man treats all animals reflects the way that humans treat each other.A man who can kick a cat and break its leg is capable of doing all sorts of unspeakable things to his fellow man in the right setting.Compassion can be developed in young children from the way in which they are taught to treat animals, their pets.
