Javea on the Costa Blanca is the venue for a conference involving architects and town planners from several Mediterranean countries .Their objective is to discuss planning for the future along the Mediterranean coastline.The event has been arranged by Casa Mediterraneo and Foro Javea in conjunction with Javea town council and the regional government.

There will be a Christmas Market on December 11,12 and 13 in Jijona near Alicante .There will be stalls selling lots of traditional Christmas fare plus seasonal activities.Local businesses will be showing off their merchandise too.Jijona is the home of turron and so there will be plenty of that to purchase plus lots of seasonal gifts.

In Orihuela the Miguel Hernandez Foundation has sent several copies of the poets’ work to the Spanish department of the University of L’Aquila in Italy.Their library collapsed during serious earthquakes earlier this year  and the Spanish teacher asked the foundation if they would donate some books after all of theirs were destroyed.
