It is not yet known if the three Spanidh aid workers kidnapped in Mauritania were the victims of bandits or whether there is a more political reason for the kidnapping.The three were in a car at the back of a convoy which was dropping off aid to small towns along the route.The convoy was attacked and shots were fired but it was only the three Spaniards who were taken,two men and a woman.
The three worked for the Spanish humanitarian group Barcelona-Accio Solidaria and a spokesperson for the group has said they have found all of the supplies and that it was only the people who had disappeared.At the moment they have had no information from those who carried out the kidnapping.
