An Alfaz del Pi school has donated over 300 pairs of shoes to an African charity”Shoes  for Africa”.The Parents Association of the school decided that this was a charity that they wanted to support after the promotion made by the footballer Samual Eto’s.His involvement seems to have spurred the children into action.

The aim is to collect shoes from all over the world and send them to the poor in Africa.The scheme is also backed by the Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar and the actor Eduardo Noriega amongst others.A video has been made in which these high profile celebraties ask for the cooperation of the Spanish people for this cause.The shoes can be new or used and they will be sent to Africa with thousands of others.
