Eleven Spanish people have been arrested by the Guardia Civil from all over Spain in connection with a sport doping ring.Those arrested are nine men and two women from Valencia,Granada,Barcelona and Murcia.They are charged with crimes against public health related to doping in sport.

The enterprise came to light when the police were informed that drugs were being sold to sportsmen and women from various sports.They were mainly in Valencia.Amongst those involved was a doctor from Valencia  who supplied them with special nutrients and supplements,aimed at increasing their sporting performance.The police placed this doctor under surveillance and over a period of time all of those involved were identified.In fact the group were supplying and distributing illegal substances.Some of those involved ran pharmacies.

The Guardia Civil has confiscated illegal substances and documents and have not ruled out the possibility of making further arrests.
