A further 2 million euros is being injected into the Plan Prever vehicle purchase scheme by the Valencia Industry Council.This is giving potential car buyers until the end of 2009 to make a purchase.The Industry councillor made the announcement last week following a meeting with representitives of the automobile sector in the region.
This extra money has put the amount available to the Plan Prever scheme up to 20 million euros and should,say analysts,see the car industry end the year with a five percent increase in cars as compared with the same time last year.
The car industry is asking for the time scale for the scheme to be extended as they feel car sales will fall without it.They have also asked the central government to extend their scheme but nothing has as yet been heard.Because of the success of the Prever Scheme the Industry councillor is looking into the possibility of extending the scheme.
