David Ferrer was welcomed by over 500 people when he returned to his hometown of Javea recently.The Spanish Davis Cup hero was welcomed to the Town Hall by the Mayor .He arrived with a replica of the Davis Cup to lift for the crowds who stood outside the town hall.After the official welcome he spoke to the crowds from the balcony.

Back in March the road to victory began in Benidorm when Spain beat the Serbian team.They won the Cup in Barcelona with David Ferrer playing a leading role in the 5-0 hammering of the Czech Republic.Nadal and Ferrer were amongst those who were also welcomed at the Moncloa Palace by the Prime Minister Sr Zapatero.
