Coral Clasica Javiense performed their Christmas Concert in Pedreguer church earlier in the month and more than 200 people filled the church to enjoy the music.The audience was very diverse with people of all nationalities.
The choir performed Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and a selection of Christmas music in five diferent languages.The choir was conducted by Joanna Baldwin and accompanied by Josep Giner on the organ.There were works by Rutter and Rachmaninov as well as the very moving “O Magnum Mysterium” by Morton Lauridson.
The audience was a very responsive and receptive group of people.They applauded heartily and also joined in those pieces where they were invited to do so.The international choir is based in Javea where they rehearse each Friday from 5.30 to 7.30 and they are always happy to welcome new voices.
