The port town of Denia is the perfect place for bringing drugs in and out of the town by ferry.The guardia Civil has detained 10 people in Denia and Javea in connection with the trafficking of drugs brought into the country from North Africa.
The police have announced that the operation to try and catch the culprits started way back in August when a 37 kilo bale of hashish was discovered in a carpark in the port area of Javea.
The anti-drug squad then set up an operation and they soon arrested two youths ,one Spanish and one Moroccan.They were both being used to transport the drugs.Earlier in December the operation moved to Denia where officers made 8 more arrests and seized 33 kilos of the drug,almost 4000 euros in cash and also some cocaine.
