In Alicante on the Costa Blanca the police have confiscated 1500 cosmetic items which were being sold at stalls on Calle Teulada market.They were also being sold in the Babel and Carolinas areas of the city.Five people have been arrested in connection with the crime of falsely branding them with well known brand names.The products were being sold on both unauthorised stalls and also authorised stalls.Those who had unauthorised stalls were also charged for not having licenses.

Also in Alicante there were arrests made of three people who had European arrest  warrants against them from Poland,Romania and Germany.The three will now be deported.The crimes committed include manslaughter and fraud.The one wanted in Germany is Algerian and has been sentenced to life imprisonment.He was caught at Alicante train station.

In Benidorm nine people have been arrested by the National Police for running a timeshare scam .The investigation began when a man reported to the police that he had been conned out of 3000 euros for the purchase of a timeshare property in the Canary Islands.It was then discovered that many other people throughout Spain had also been targeted.Those detained were a Russian,a Paraguayan,a Croatian,an Englishman,an Argentinian,two Uraguayans and two Spaniards.
