The Lions Clubs all over Spain do some sterling work raising money to help others and in Teulada/Moraira this Christmas they have done some wonderful work in helping families who truly needed it due to the recession.
They helped 30 needy families in the area by giving each of them a bag of groceries worth 75 euros. It is hoped that this would help them through the Christmas and New Year period.Teulada Social services identified the families who needed the most help and then the food was bought at Pepe la Sal supermarket .The foods were basics such as rice, pasta, beans and canned produce. The supermarket kindly gave a 15% discount on all that was purchased. The local council has made it known that they are very grateful to the Lions for helping the local community.
