Benidorm has a new Mayor,Agustin Navarro and he promised to bring much more transparency to local government when he came into power.He has made good his promise by unveiling the”Ventana Transparencia” on the town hall website www,benidorm.org.

The new pages contain all the information about the personal wealth of councillors plus their wages.The pages will be updated every month to reflect what each councillor is earning and it will also indicate which councillors do and do not attend council meetings.

All of the information published on the website has been authorised by each individual..The Mayor is still awaiting the personal details of the opposition PP councillors so that their details can also be published.
