The second tranche of money from the central government Plan E scheme for Benidorm has arrived and the Mayor has said that the 250,000 euros will be used to carry out improvements in the town´s schools.
In one primary school they require a new hall and in two others there needs to be improvements to their dining rooms.These three jobs will cost 160,000 euros.The rest of the money will be used to carry out minor improvements in other schools.
Under this second tranche Benidorm is due to be allocated 7 million euros and the council is studying plans to increase parking near the Poniente beach in an attempt to increase business.There has not been a definite decision made as yet and they are considering all requests that are coming in.Work from the first money provided by the government is almost finished.
