The new season of Nordic Walking begins this month and those who are residentin Alfaz del pi are able to join in for free.Others taking part have to pay four euros which covers insurance for the group of walkers.
The first walk is not for the beginner as it is a spectacular mountain trek to the top of Finestrat´sPuig Campana which is more than 1400 metres above sea level.The walk will take about 6 hours through narrow mountain trails.At this time of the year the top of the mountain can be very cold but there will be spectacular views over Alicante,Benidorm,Altea,Denia and even Cullera.
Those who have reserved a place on the walk will meet at the Casa de Cultura in Alfaz del pi at 8.30 am .All of those taking part are asked to carry warm clothing,wear good walking boots and carry their own food for the day.
