From February 5 to February 7 there will be one of Spain´s largest medieval markets held in Orihuela.In all there will be 350 stalls and they will be selling a vast range of goods from foods of all types to handicrafts of every type.The stalls will be situated in the historic city centre.
As well as stalls selling goods there will be those giving workshops to members of the public to encourage them to learn a variety of new skills from the making of jewellery to bread.There will also be exhibitions of such things as falconry,horse tournaments,medieval weapons,parades and also an Arab Bazaar.
As part of the historic aspect of medieval Orihuela there will also be a reconstruction of the arrival of the Catholic Kings in the town which took place in 1488.Last year almost 200,000 people visited the market.All shops and the tourist office will have extended opening hours.
