Nineteen people in Alicante and Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca have been arrested in connection with obtaining residency permits for immigrants using false documentation.The suspects and their clients are mostly of Eastern European origin.It is alleged that they ontained papers for about 100 people,charging each one about 1500 euros for the documentation.
Work contracts for a short duration would be drawn up either with the help of Spanish and foreign run businesses or even by creating new companies only for this purpose.
Police officers searched two legal consultancy offices and took a lot of documentation.Three months ago the police began to investigate the couple that ran the office in Alicante and another in Torrevieja.The Spanish man and his Russian partner are being charged with illegal association,falsifying documentation and helping illegal immigration.
