Last week a fisherman was swept off the rocks near Cala del Tio Ximo when a huge wave came over him.He and his companion often fished at this place at night and it was the companion who raised the alarm.It was a stormy night and it was around mid-night that the alarm was raised.The two men often went fishing at the same place at caall Point.

Helicopters,police ,fire service launches and coastguard resue teams were all brought to the area to search for the man.Others have searched the shoreline once daylight came.Police divers have also been brought in to search for the body of the man.The accident happened on a Friday and on the following Tuesday a 50 strong volunteer force was brought to the scene to help.There were also dogs which specialise in water searches.To date all of these searches have not brought any luck.A search coordination centre has now been set up at the port in Benidorm and very anxious relatives are awaiting news of the 40 year old.They are all receiving counselling about the tragedy.
