An armed robber attempted to rob a jewellery shop in gandia last Monday and the female jeweller fought off the armed robber .The attempted robbery took place in pasaje Brunel just after the shop opened for business at 10am.The jeweller spotted two men who she thought looked suspicious .They were parking their motorbike opposite her shop.She went out to tell them that they were not permitted to park there.
As the woman approached the pair one of them pulled out a package as though he was a courier and she then allowed him into the shop to examine the delivery note,once inside he pulled a gun.The jeweller actually pushed the gunman to the ground and with the help of an employee managed to throw him out of the shop into the street.
The two men fled on their bike and of course were wearing helmets.A shop assistant in another shop had the presence of mind to take the number plate registratiom which was given to the police.
