Las Norias High School in Montforte ,in Alicante Province,has had its headteacher suspended for 20 days.His suspension is without pay and it has been at the behest of the regional education department.

It appears that students at the school turned a picture of the Regional Education Minister upside down and posted a message”Unwelcome Person” next to it.The Education Department believe that the headteacher condoned the act of the students.One would like to think that in a democracy that he was entitled to do just that .he should also have the right to disagree with the Minister for education if he so chooses.

Happily the teachers at the school are supporting their headteacher and are protesting at what they perceive to be an unjust suspension.The school it appears  is having a difficult time without someone at the head leading it .The headteacher was also the PE teacher and consequently he is being missed in more than one way.
