A Costa Blanca property promoter was unfortunate enough to have an employee who pocketed the money from the sale of a house.The employee has been jailed for 4 years.He stole 134,000 euros which was paid by purchasers in February 2006.The promoter was meant to clear the mortgage on the property ,which he failed to do,leaving a huge debt outstanding.
A 40 year old Polish man has been detained in Orihuela having escaped from his bail for a number of crimes in Poland.The man was arrested after he appeared drunk at a 24 hour shop in Orihuela and the sales assistant called the police.On being arrested the police checked his credentials and discovered that he was being sought by Interpol.The crimes committed included sexual aggression against his sister .The man is being held in madrid and is awaiting extradition back to Poland.
A suspicious package was detected at Barajas airport in Madrid and it had arrived from Argentina.National Police found that it contained cocaine and then awaited the arrivalof the recipient.A 59 year old Spaniard arrived to collect the package and was arrested at the scene.
