The official Spanish State Bulletin has confirmed that 150 years after its first mission,the Spanish Army´s messenger pigeon post will come to an end.There are 300 birds retained by the 22nd Signals regiment in Pozuelo de Alarcon( Madrid) to maintain communications in case of a national catastrophe.These birds have been pensioned off after being made redundant because of modern technology.
In Asturias a female drug addict stabbed a nun at a hostel for the homeless.People watched in horror as the woman picked up a knife and stabbed the nun who was serving a meal for the residents of the hostel.The nun was admitted to hospital with serious neck wounds and the woman was arrested by the police.
Three years ago a little boy went missing from near his home on the Canary Islands.His mother still lives in hope that Yeremi will still be found and returned to his family.This is a case which has never received as much publicity as the Madelaine McCann case.However in each of them there has never been a solution to the abductions.
