On April 10 the Benissa Iceland store is holding a Fun Day in aid of Expats 4 Afghan Heroes.This is an expat organisation which is supporting the UK charity.The fun begins at 10am and will finish at 5pm.They are organising raffles,face painting,food tastings and many more fun activities.
Expats 4Afghan Heroes organiser Jackie lawson will be there with her husband who will be going to Afghanistan to aid the troops later.Official wrist bands will also be on sale to indicate that people support the charity.Later in the year Iceland is hoping to run a ball and auction to continue their money raising.
The UK charity was founded by a group of grieving mothers after they lost their sons and daughters .The money raised helps to purchase care packages for the troops.The aim is foe every serviceman and woman to receive one.Prince Harry has recently praised their efforts and is a supporter of the charity.He has served in Afghanistan with a soldier who died.
