It appears that Javea on the Costa Blanca has been having problems with youngsters behaving badly during fiesta time in the summer.Last year there were complaints that there was too much drinking into the night.there was vandalism and there was hoolign behaviour too.All of this was being exhibited by youngsters often of school age.
The tow has decided that enough is enough and over the winter period interested parties from politicians to teachers and parents plus police and security services have met to try and discover a solution.The town wants to have its fiestas but without them being a nuisance to residents.They want less noise,less drunkeness and less vandalism.
They have thought about making the fiestas later,after scholl has finished.Schools have been complaining about poor results during exams because of the fiestas.They are also thinking of letting people know of the sanctions which will be used should they step out of line.All that is wanted is that visitors and residents can enjoy themselves.As yet they have not made any firm decisions about the action they are going to take.
