Redovan is a town near Orihuela on the Costa Blanca.A rock band competition has been started which is open to unsigned groups who have at least one member who is a resident of either Alicante or Murcia provinces.
The type of music will include rock,punk,rock and roll,hard rock and other combinations.The top prize is 600 euros.Each band has to send in a CD demo or live recording of at least two original songs plus a brief history of the group and a stage plan of the technical requirements that they would need.All of this information has to be submitted to the town hall.The closing date is July 30 and the finals take place on August 20.
They are also organising a graffiti competition where the top prize is 400 euros.Once again the designs have to be submitted to the town hall.These ideas are very progressive for a small town and the youth of the area should be very proud of their council.
