The Volvo zone in Alicante port was the venue for the Oktoberfest this year.It came to an end last weekend and was reckoned to be a huge success.It was calculated that ovwer the 10 days 25,000 people attended.
The event took place in a huge marquee and took the form of the classic beer festivals in Germany.There were the large Steiner mugs and lots of German sausage too.
Alongside all of this there was also music and dancing.These Oktoberfest celebrations have become very popular along the Costa Blanca.
While all of this was going on there were also celebrations on the beach in Benidorm with their ElectroBeach festival on the Levante beach and other venues.Once again the festival attracted thousands of people and boosted the Benidorm economy by an estimated 6 million euros.
