The son-in-law of the Spanish King Juan Carlos is the Duke of Palma, Iñaki Urdangarin.He has been indicted by the court to appear in a corruption case investigating the misappropriation of funds.

Along with the Duke of Palma is the Duke´s associate at the Noos Institute , Diego Torres.They are accused of pocketing up to 5.6 million euros of public money according to the anti-corruption investigators.

There is also an allegation that the Duke and his wife the Infanta Cristina bought a 1.5 million euro home with some of these misappropriated funds.

The report claims that the two men , between 2004 and 2007 filtered almost 3 million euros through various companies.The Duke is to testify on February 6.His lawyer says that his client is “totally innocent”.

The announcement from the court came the day after the royal family finances were published for the first time.
