Albacete | Double Life Crime

Psychiatrists might be able to explain why an apparently respectable 36 year old Albacete businessman was leading a double life.One life in Albacete where he had a wife and children  , which is inland from Benidorm on the Costa Blanca and another in Madrid where he was a criminal.

He now stands accused of robberies ,abduction and rape.His criminal life is thought to have started in 2010 when he began to carry out burglaries when he was on business trips.He stole mainly jewellery and cash and began to keep “trophies ” from his crime which he stored in a remote farmhouse where he kept the property guarded by 6 dogs.

Then he is alleged to have pointed a gun at a woman in a suburb of Madrid and took her captive for 12 hours, sexually abusing her and threatening to take her credit cards before he let her go.The next attack on a woman is alleged to have taken place at Barajas airport in Madrid and there he put the woman into the boot of a car.Luckily she was able to contact her husband and was saved.Guns were found in the car but the attacker escaped.

The man has been remanded in prison charged with rape ,illegal detention , robbery ,possession of illegal weapons, causing bodily harm and car theft.
