Alicante Province | Property Taxes

The land value tax , IBI , in Alicante Province will go up this year for 90% of municipalities.However not all residents will be paying the same,The amount of tax that you pay will depend on when the cadastral revision took place.Those properties which were assessed before 2002 will see the largest increases.

Most properties in such places as Benidorm , Elda , Elche , Orihuela and San Vicente will have had their revision in 1996 and so theirs will be increased by 10%.Many properties in Alicante City will see the same rise.

Revisions carried out between 2002 and 2004 will have a 6% rise and these affect about 13 municipalities including Jijona , La Nucia , Busot and Sant Joan.

There will be no increase for properties done between 2005 and 2007 which affects again 13 municipalities. These include Castalla , Dolores , Javea and Agost.

Those revisions carried out between 2008 and 2011 will see a 4% rise and this affects 23 municipalities including El Campello ,Mutxamiel and Torrevieja.
