Primary and infant schools in the Valencia region are to be educated about the importance of managing waste materials.The programme has been designed to make youngsters aware of the importance of recycling for the future of planet earth.
Teams of environmental specialists will be visiting schools and using a variety of techniques to get the message across. Through storytelling and games and appropriate materials they will try to get across just what materials should be recycled from their homes and in their schools.
Naturally such things as newspapers,paper generally plus foods and glass but also the increasing problem of electronic devices and batteries and of course water.
Javea on the Costa Blanca was the first town to enroll in the programme and has enrolled five schools.They begin at the end of January until the end of February.
This programme is the brain child of the Department of the Environment , Water , Urbanism and Housing.
