Javea | Spanish Foreign Minister Visits

The newly appointed Spanish Foreign Minister visited Javea on the Costa Blanca last week.During the opening address at the official visit Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo , the minister thought that Javea was an ideal place to hold “high level ” meetings.

He also talked about the summits which are to be arranged within the Ibero.American Summit which will take place in Cadiz on the Costa de la Luz.He intimated that he would like delegates to experience Javea for themselves.

Sr Margallo has owned a property in Javea for a very long time and Sr Chulvi , the Mayor of Javea welcomed the minister to the town and congratulated him on his very important post in Madrid.Previously he had been an MEP in Brussels.He was very anti the Auken report when it was presented.The report was attempting to rid Spain and the Valencia region of land grab abuses.There are many people in Javea and on the town council who are still fighting the land abuse and corruption charges which are still very valid said the Vice President of Abusos Urbanisticos No ( AUN ) .They are hoping that the minister will now represent those who have grave concerns about their properties and that he will work to address them.
