A Spanish national with an existing criminal record was caught last week in Denia on the Costa Blanca carrying 6 kilos of cocaine in his van.He was in the port area of the town.The drugs were hidden in the luggage compartment of the vehicle and the court has denied him bail.
At about the same time the police raided a house in El Puig ( Valencia ).They found there a car which had been stolen in Javea by a drug dealing gang from Eastern Europe.Two men and two women were arrested when the officers uncovered a drug preparation laboratory.
They found 5.5 kilos of cocaine , 17 kilos of hashish , 2000 ecstacy tablets and a variety of doses of speed.They also discovered explosive devices including grenades ,a machine gun, revolver automatic pistol plus various other firearms plus forged documents and blank passports.They are thought to have been supplying a huge amount of Class A drugs to countries in Eastern Europe.
