Two accidents happened in the Alicante province area of the Costa Blanca last Sunday.Both involved female walkers.
The first one took place while the woman was walking in the mountains inland from Alicante in the Sierra de Serella .The woman slipped and fell down a rocky area and her fall was stopped by a tree.Fire services from Cocentaina and San Vicente deRaspeig took part in the rescue operation.The woman was not seriously injured but she was taken to Alcoy hospital for checks.
The other woman was walking in the La Cuta gulley in Lliber in the Jalon Valley. The woman fell and broke her leg.Emergency services took her to Denia hospital.
