Javea businesses  , on the Costa Blanca,  were subjected to a series of attacks by vandals last week.Businesses in the port and the Arenal were sprayed with a particularly acidic spray paint.Plate glass windows worth thousands of euros were ruined.The paint burned into the plate glass.

The attacks in the port seemed to be at random , although one of them was the  CAM bank.There have been similar acts of vandalism in the past .Two years ago tyres were slashed and last year windscreens were broken.

Businesses initially thought that the white spray was something that they could just wash off , a minor irritation.However once the cleaning process began they could see the permanence of the damage.When specialised graffiti paint remover was eventually used the serious nature of the damage could be seen and the permanent nature of it.All of the windows will have to be replaced.
