The Spanish soccer team Real Madrid is at the top of the La Liga table and of course they are the major rivals of Barcelona on the Costa Brava.
The manager of Real Madrid is Jose Mourhino and he has just celebrated his 49th birthday.In a TV interview a while ago he dubbed himself The Special One and the name has stuck.He has done some very special things in his career as afootball manager.
He has been the manager of Real madrid since May 2010 and he won the Copa de Rey, the first time that the team had done this since 1993.
He has worked in his native Portugal with Porto and Sporting Club plus in England with Chelsea and also in Italy with Internazionale.Then of course he has managed Barcelona and finally Real Madrid. This is not a bad record for a man who hails from a family where his father was a professional soccer player and his mother was a teacher.He ranks as one of Europe´s most influential men.
