In 50 years the village of Benidorm on the Costa Blanca has developed into a large town.
An exhibition is about to open until February 23 to show the public just how that transformation took place.It will be at the Espai D ´Art at the town hall in Benidorm.
Many of the buildings on the construction plans came to fruition and many did not.There was a lot of thought when thinking of the development of tourism and maintaining a balance for residents too.
Among the drawings exhibited are those relating to the Plaza de la Hispanidad , the refurbishment of Elche Park as well as the projects for Hotel Delfin , Palmera, Hotel España . Montesol and Almeda.
Maybe there are many who will look back at these plans and wish that they had done it differently.Benidorm and its skyline have certainly become quite iconic in the architecture of Spain and is now home to some of the tallest buildings in Spain.
