As two women were leaving a bar in Gandia they were grabbed and forced into a waiting car , allegedly by two youths .
Two 20 year olds have been arrested on suspicion of carrying out the assault s.
The women say that they were threatened with knives , had their mobile phones stolen and that one of them was thrown from the moving car .
The other girl was sexually assaulted an examination showed .She was later abandoned on a piece of waste ground near Gandia .

Specialists In Gandia are making appointments in their hospital for next May .
An influx of visitors during the summer is being blamed for the backlog plus staff taking their holidays at the same time .
People who have actually seen specialists are being told that they will not have the results of their tests for another 6 months .A man from Oliva has been waiting for an appointment for six months and there doesn’t appear to be much of a chance of it arriving in the near future and he is in pain .

In April 2007 the regional government came to an agreement about with central government about the upgrading of the Gandia -Oliva - Denia rail link .
The documentation concerning this move has still not been signed and it has most certainly not been catered for in the 2008 budget and now it is not in the 2009 budget either .
The first phase has been completed but the remaining two are going to cost 60 million euros and Valencia is demanding that this is paid for by the Ministry of Public Works .

The torrential rains of last week took their toll when a British mother and her daughter were washed away and drowned in flood water near L’Olleria , near Gandia .
There was flooding all over the Valencian region and the passenger ferry between Denia and the Balearics were stopped and people were stranded in open water as it was not safe enough to dock the vessels .
Roads in Gandia and Denia were cut off causing chaos .
There were also power cuts across many towns in the provinces of Alicante and Valencia .
The quantity of rain is said to have reached #00 litres per square metres in only 48 hours .
The regional government want to give some of the historic centres of rural villages a facelift and are offering residents cash to help them carry out the reservations .
The 600 residents of Potries and Palma de Gandia are being given this opportunity . The government have identified more than 200 towns of less than 2000 inhabitants which come into this category .
In Potries three quarters of the properties need work to be done on them ..
