A flight from Tenerife to Salamanca on a Boeing 737 was disturbed when the commander informed the passengers , as they were taxiing  , that he had detected a faulty anti -icing valve .

He assured the 170 passengers that they were in no danger and that he could change planes in Madrid .

However 85 people insisted that they leave the plane . Air Europes later announced that there was not even a moment of danger to any passengers  .

The company explained that the commander was acting on a need for transparency for such issues .

Spanish Property for sale

A young Down’s Syndrome child has been found dead in the boot of a car whilst on holiday on the island of Formentera .

The 9 year old was discovered last Monday . The car was parked in the garage of the property in which the family was staying .

The house belonged to a friend of the mother and the boy had been reported missing and the police were already looking for him .

They suspect that the lad got into the boot whilst playing and became trapped , he would have died of heatstroke and dehydration .

This is the second death caused by a child being left in a car alone . A little girl died in Seville after being left alone for a number of hours .
